IMPLEMENTATION

A single point of contact, reporting to an organizational
leader and empowered to assign tasks to implementation team
members and direct the completion of those tasks, is key to
a successful implementation.
Ventures in Healthcare's experience in project management
helps to assure a successful outcome and an on-time go-live.
- Oversee and stay ahead of the project plan, anticipating
issues before they are due so that impediments to timely
task completion are minimized
- Assign tasks to project participants, track progress of
all outstanding deliverables
- Planning convening and providing all documentation for
weekly implementation committee status meetings
- Convening regular senior executive level steering committee
meetings including presentation of formal status report
(senior leadership participation and buy-in is critical!)
- Manage vendor relationship; escalate unresolved issues
within the vendor organization
- Coordinate development and delivery of interfaces, vendor
contracted software customizations and conversions
- Coordinate simultaneous efforts of the following sub-groups:
Department(s) installing applications, IT Applications group,
IT Infrastructure group, IT Interface group, and vendor
- Assess Hospital resource requirements to assure that planned
tasks are accomplished within the assigned timeframes; escalate
resource concerns within the Hospital
- Establish trainer and end-user training teams; provide
oversight to training activities
- Provide oversight to policy and procedure revisions to
accommodate new system
- Provide input to workflow redesign processes
- Structure unit, application, and integrated testing
